Kick Off Loyalty Programs
Just do something to let your clients know that you appreciate their business and that they are the boss. --Robert Foney
Depending upon your desired course of action, loyalty program budgets can run the gamut, but Robert Foney says it’s important to dedicate as much financial wherewithal as possible to this cost-effective marketing niche. And as for getting started, “just do it,” Foney says. “Your first one doesn’t have to be overly complex. It just has to be sincere above all else. Just do something to let your clients know that you appreciate their business and that they are the boss. Your clients will appreciate the gesture and the sincerity of the deed more than they will the cost.” In fact, spend too much, and your good intentions could backfire, Foney says. “[The client may think,] ‘So, this is where all my money goes? How else is he wasting my money? If he spent less money on these things, I bet my costs would be a lot lower!’ On the other hand, you don’t want to be too miserly either. Put yourself in their shoes and ask if you’d be happy with what you’re considering. Ask a friend or spouse for their opinion.”
