Don’t Overfill a Seminar

There’s no purpose in having 100 people if you can only follow up with 20 within a week. --Darrin Farrow

Always invite more people than you want to attend—but don’t overfill a seminar. "There’s no purpose in having 100 people if you can only follow up with 20 within a week," Farrow said. "After a week, you’ve lost them," he noted. Anticipate a 1% to 2% response rate from invitations. And even if people do commit to attending, there will still be a drop-off rate the day of the event. "Say you have 50 RSVPs," Farrow said. "You’re probably going to lose 12."
