Web 2.0 is about conversation and participation. With pay per click, social networks, wikis, tagging and RSS, the user—not the sender—controls the message.

Growth-minded advisors spend time networking through civic and alumni organizations, meeting prospects with common interests and welcoming business inquiries. These activities are possible by exploring second generation Web communities and social networking sites. These activities don't replace your prospecting efforts, of course, but they can enhance them.

As the technology has matured, it has become clear that Web 2.0 will revolutionize business practices. "Web 1.0 was about getting your message out.
