Anything you can offer your clients for free builds trust. Offer links to the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors or the Certified Financial Planners Board of Standards or quick links to the SEC or new tax law information. Links are also a great way to attract high net-worth clients. “It really starts with knowing your potential client extremely well and identifying the sites or communities online that they trust,” says Melberg. “Look for opportunities to create partnerships or joint ventures with other online communities that are reaching your target audience—at the very least, obtain links from those sources back to your website.”
